The beautiful images we'll create together are thoughtful portraits of you that can enhance all your promotional materials. The samples you see on this page represent my portrait approach.

While these sessions focus on capturing you rather than your environment or products, I'm always happy to discuss a more comprehensive Brand Photography Session if you're looking for a wider range of marketing visuals for your business.

When

West County sessions are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays.

Where are the sessions held?

I can work with you inside or outside, and if you don’t know where you’d like to be, we can figure it out together.

While the session location is your choice, it must be within West County—Sebastopol, Forestville, Guerneville, Graton, and Occidental.

A bit about my photography practice.
And why this offer.

For seven years, I cultivated a thriving family photography business in the Bay Area, gradually evolving toward portrait and brand photography for female creatives and entrepreneurs.

I approach each portrait session as a true collaboration. These aren't just headshots—they're thoughtfully crafted visual stories that honor the unique essence of each woman I'm privileged to work with. I bring the same care and attention to these sessions that I do to all aspects of my craft and client relationships.

When we relocated from Oakland to Sebastopol in 2020 to be closer to family, I encountered the challenge familiar to many small business owners—building connections in a new community without my established referral network.

This portrait offering represents my invitation to deepen relationships with this vibrant community I've been carefully nurturing over the past four years in this special place I now call home.

It would be an honor to create compelling portraits that elevate your brand, amplify your visibility, and authentically connect you with the clients who most need your unique offerings.

“Ellen's photography moves me. Her branding and strategy work speaks to and lands with me. With Ellen, you get to simultaneously experience and receive the highest quality of work while working with the most down-to-earth of humans. A refreshing and rare combination.”

Why Bother with a Portrait Session?

More than a headshot, these photos will help you connect with your target audience and elevate your brand presence.

No matter your line of work, your picture is in the wild, likely online and possibly in print. Therapists, Healers, Midwives, Coaches, Artists, Musicians…in short, anyone doing anything public-facing could use photos of themselves to communicate with your people.

I’m willing to bet that whatever recent portrait of you out there is:

  1. An image of you from 5+ years ago that no longer looks like you.

  2. Taken as a selfie

  3. Cropped just so, but we can all tell someone was standing next to you

  4. Or, you are onto this portrait game and could use some fresh images.

I can help you with this dilemma. There is never a perfect time. If you’ve made it this far, the time is now.
